WITHOUT PAIN

A poem about the importance of pain...

Sorrow planted a seed in my heart

Despair gifted me a life gone dark

Maybe darkness brings a brighter outcome

Maybe pain is something we're meant to learn from

Embrace the woe, the misery and anguish

Endure the torture, discomfort and sting

Embrace it all, even if it doesn't feel right

For without pain, how do we know that we're truly alive
